Accessibility statement

Our commitment

People considering dental implants are frequently older adults, and many of them use larger text, magnification, screen readers, or navigate without a mouse. An inaccessible site does not merely inconvenience them — it excludes them from information about their own healthcare. We take that seriously.

This website targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.

What has been built in

• Keyboard access. Every interactive element can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order. Nothing traps focus except the mobile menu, which traps deliberately while open and releases on Escape.
• Visible focus. A consistent, high-contrast focus ring appears on every focusable element, with an alternative treatment on dark backgrounds so it never disappears.
• Skip link. A "Skip to main content" link is the first focusable element on every page.
• Contrast. Body text, secondary text and interface elements were selected against their intended backgrounds to meet or exceed the 4.5:1 ratio required for normal text.
• Semantic structure. Pages use landmarks, one H1, and a heading order that does not skip levels, so screen-reader users can navigate by structure.
• Forms. Every field has a real label. Errors are announced, linked to their field, and summarised at the top of the form with links that move focus to the problem.
• Accordions. Built on native HTML disclosure elements, so they behave correctly with assistive technology and work with JavaScript disabled.
• Reduced motion. All animation is suppressed when your system is set to reduce motion. No content is hidden behind an animation.
• Touch targets. Interactive controls are sized to at least 48 pixels in the smaller dimension.
• Text alternatives. Meaningful images have descriptive alt text; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Zoom and reflow. Content reflows to a single column at 320 pixels wide and remains usable at 200% text zoom without horizontal scrolling.

Known limitations

We would rather name these than pretend they do not exist.

• Where a security challenge is enabled on the consultation form, it is provided by a third party and its accessibility is outside our control. If it prevents you from submitting the form, please call the provider instead — the phone number is on every page — and we will treat the report as a defect.
• Content on websites we link to, including the provider's own site and review platforms, is not under our control and may not meet the same standard.
• This statement reflects automated and manual testing. Automated tools catch a minority of accessibility issues, so we rely on reports from real users to find the rest.

Assistive technology

The site is built to work with current versions of common screen readers and browsers, and does not require JavaScript for any core task: reading content, navigating, opening answers to questions, or submitting the consultation form.

If you cannot use the form for any reason, you can always request a consultation by calling Laguna Niguel Dental on (949) 363-2010. No one should have to use this website to reach a dentist.
